Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking individuals for the position of Solderer for both 1st and 2nd shifts in Brea, CA. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in developing their soldering skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The Hand Solderer I will be responsible for basic hand soldering and assembly operations on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and subassemblies, ensuring compliance with IPC Class 2 standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine hand soldering of thru-hole components.
  • Assemble and rework PCBAs according to documentation and work instructions.
  • Conduct basic visual inspection of solder joints to identify common defects such as bridges and cold joints.
  • Maintain accurate AEGIS and Shop Floor logs and follow established production processes.
  • Escalate issues to senior solderers or supervisors for troubleshooting.
  • Follow all ESD, safety, and company quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 year of soldering or assembly experience (manufacturing or hobbyist experience considered).
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification preferred but not required.
  • Good hand/eye coordination required.

Required Work Hours

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Monday - Friday

Benefits

Pay range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour.
